Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your 4rho account at any time. The flow is reversible for 30 days so you can change your mind without having to reach out to support.
How to start
- Open Profile → Privacy & Data.
- Click Delete my account.
- Confirm in the dialog. We send you a one-time confirmation link (valid for 1 hour). Click that link to schedule deletion.
That's it. From the moment you click the confirmation link, your account is on a 30-day countdown to permanent erasure.
What happens during the 30 days
Your account stays fully usable. You can sign in, trade, withdraw, and use every feature exactly as before. A small banner at the top of every page reminds you that deletion is scheduled for a specific date.
If you change your mind, just click Cancel deletion in that banner (or in Profile → Privacy & Data). Your account is fully restored, no support ticket needed. The cancellation is instant.
What happens after the 30 days
We permanently scrub your account of everything that identifies you:
- email address, display name, username, profile picture
- registration IP, country code, KYC reference
- any wallet address you linked
Active sign-in sessions are revoked, and any open orders are cancelled before the scrub.
What we have to keep
Some data is retained for regulatory and audit reasons even after your account is scrubbed:
- Trading history — orders, trades, settlements, positions. Financial-records law requires this for several years. After the scrub, those records are no longer attributable to you.
- On-chain records — anything written to the Polygon blockchain is by design immutable and public. We can't delete on-chain history.
- Audit trail of the deletion itself — we keep a record that some user requested deletion on a specific date. This entry contains no personal data after the scrub.
What if I can't reach the cancel button?
Things happen — you might lose access to your phone or your browser session during the 30 days. If you need to cancel deletion but can't reach the in-app banner, open a support ticket and we'll verify your identity and force-cancel on your behalf. Do this before the 30-day window ends — once the scrub runs, we cannot recover the account.
